Families or organizations will host a dinner for a group of 15-70 male farmworkers at their camp where they live. Once a date is chosen we will let you know what restrictions there are for that location, how many people and the meetup location. Groups are only expected to host a dinner, however if you wish to bring gifts or donations please let us know so we can make sure it is allowed.

VOLUNTEERS
Names of all volunteers must be received one week in advance for vetting.
The workers are living on private property.
A maximum of 6 guests will be allowed to attend.*
Guests should car pool in no more than 3 vehicles.*
Females and children under 18 are not allowed to visit the men's camps.
*Note: Additional guests may be allowed at locations with 40 or more workers.
LOCATION
On the designated date you will meet in a public location and will be escorted to the site. Currently, locations will be in San Benito County, predominantly Hollister. If you choose another county we will connect you with a trusted Farmworker Caravan Coalition partner.
HOSTED DINNER
Your group will be responsible for the cost and delivery of the meal to the designated location. Spanish speaking hosts are preferred.
SPONSORED DINNER
If you just wish to just pay for the meal but are unable to attend the Farmworker Caravan will organize meal delivery by a food truck or local small business to a camp. Average cost is $18-25 per person.
GIFTS
If you wish, you can bring additional gifts or donations with you. Items may include new hoodies, socks, caps, t-shirts, razors, phone chargers, grooming kits, etc...or services such as haircuts, barbers or chair massages.
RESTRICTIONS
Most sites are on private property and may have very strict rules such as no music, alcohol or other banned items. Please let us know what you plan on bringing or doing prior to the date so that we are abiding by all restrictions.
