The Farmworker Caravan and Catholic Charities are collecting toys and household goods for migrant farmworker families. As the immigration raids continue to attack this community on a daily basis we want to show them some love and appreciation for the work that they do.
California's agricultural abundance includes more than 400 commodities, the majority of which are harvested between May to September when an estimated 400,000 - 600,000 migrant or seasonal workers are here. MAP Over a third of the country's vegetables and two-thirds of the country's fruits and nuts are grown in California. To thank them for their hard work the Farmworker Caravan, Catholic Charities and multiple agencies have teamed up to welcome them back and provide free toys, meals and fun activities
