Come enjoy the Tamalada for free when you volunteer for one or more of these 4 hour shifts:
Saturday, December 14th Only
Kitchen Prep: 7am-11am Kitchen Prep: 11am-3pm Tamale Cook: 10am - 4pm Tamale Cook: 2pm - 8pm Servers / Runners: 9am - 1pm Servers / Runners: 1pm - 5pm Expert Tamalera: 9am - 1pm Expert Tamalera: 1pm - 5pm
Saturday, December 14th and/or Sunday, December 15th
Set-Up: 7am - 11:00am
Break Down: 4pm - 8pm
Cashier / Tamale Sales: 9am - 1pm
Cashier / Tamale Sales: 1pm - 5pm
Cashier / Tamale Sales: 9am - 1pm
Cashier / Tamale Sales: 1pm - 5pm
Important Information:
Volunteers must be 15 and older or 12 and up with a supervised group.
Groups must contact us in advance at info@farmworkercaravan.org for approval.
Volunteers do not have seating and will mostly be in the kitchen area.
If you wish to sit down and enjoy the festivities you will need to purchase a ticket.
Only experienced Tamaleras will be allowed at the tables and if you have to ask you are not one.
