CHRISTMAS CON CARINO


Get into the Christmas spirit by filling stockings with gifts, candies and cariño for the children of food and agricultural workers. We need a minimum of 5,000 stockings so recruit your family and friends to join in our efforts. See the video of previous years fabulous participants from all over the Bay Area.

WHAT SIZE STOCKING?

Please use a 15" - 18" stockings. You can purchase a wide variety of stockings and stocking stuffers individually and in bulk at:

Note: If you have a large group or are having difficulty acquiring stockings you can substitute medium size gift bags with a handle.

CAN I DECORATE THE STOCKING?

Yes! You can spruce up the outside of the stocking with festive holiday decor if you wish. See the video above for decorating ideas.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR DROP-OFF?

1) Please wash and/or sanitize your hands thoroughly prior to preparing your bags. 

2) All food items must be store bought and individually wrapped by the manufacturer. No homemade food items allowed. 

3) Place all items inside the Christmas Stocking then place the entire stocking in a large 2 gallon ziplock or plastic gift bag. If using gift bags make sure the top is stapled or taped shut.

We are partnering with nonprofit agencies who will safely distribute the stockings to farmworker families with children during their food distributions or directly to their homes. Non-profit partners include:

COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS
Community service hours are available for students. One hour will be given for the first decorated and filled stocking received and 1/2 hour for each stocking thereafter. Please visit the education and partners' page to supplement your report. Use info@farmworkercaravan.org as your contact email.
