Darlene Tenes of CasaQ and guest chefs will teach you how to make traditional Mexican, Filipino, Puerto Rican, Caribbean, Sweet and Gourmet tamales. You'll learn the history of tamales and enjoy a chef demo to learn how to prepare and cook the meats, masa and sauce. Cooking Lesson will take place in a separate private room from the Tamalada Party. Following the lesson you'll be able to join others in the Tamalada Party room where you'll learning to fill and roll tamales with live music and Christmas trivia.

The Tamalada Party will take place in the main community center where you'll be able to gather with old and new friends to make tamales in this time-honored tradition.  Learn how to fold and fill tamales while enjoying live music and enjoy a traditional tamale meal. 



Tamalada guests will have a choice of Pork, Chicken or Elote (vegan)Tamale

Please bring the following items with you on the day of the event:

1) Apron or coverup

2) Spatula (rubber or metal) for spreading masa

3) Cotton hand towel
